Following your numerous requests, I decided to publish an article on what you can get for free during your birthday in Toronto. Of course this list is not exhaustive, and I only put the things that you can get for free and immediately when you visit without any real conditions (people accompanying you, menu to take or only discount...).
There are a few places where only your ID will be asked on your birthday, no need to register online or in any program:
Denny's: get an Original Grand Slam breakfast.
Rainbow Cinema or Magic Lantern Theatre: a free movie ticket. Beware that this would not apply to all movies, best to call and check.
Krispe Kreme: Get a free donut
Here in Toronto, most places offering you a gift for your birthday ask you to sign up for a newsletter. If you want to make sure you get the coupon in the mail that will give you access to a gift, sign up at least 1 week before your birthday.
Starbucks, but also all the small cafés with a loyalty system like Page One for example.
Chatime : a free drink if at least one purchase through the application.
Boston Pizza : free dessert, free pizza on your birthday.
David’s Tea : free tea.
Harvey’s : free burger/dessert on your birthday.
Marble Slab Creamery : Free ice cream.
My Panera : Free pastry. 2022 offer changed with a $2 coupon
South saint burger : free burger 2021 offer changed : 1 bought = 1 offered.
W burger bar : free burger.
The works : free burger.
East side Mario : free dessert.
Benihana : 30 dollars to use at Benihana. offer suspended and establishment closed since the covid.
On my birthday, I tested 6 of these things including free breakfast! It’s really worth it ;)
